My name is Paisley and I’m an artist with a background in filmmaking. My work in jewellery is an extension of my art practice, which focusses on objects and our relationship with them. I love making and finding jewellery that people fall in love with. All packages from Mourning Assembly are put together with the greatest care and attention to detail. I have a huge focus on repurposing objects, sourcing quality preloved pieces and using recycled packaging.
Yes I absolutely do! One of my favourite things is making something specifically for a client or their loved one, using their own objects or something from my archive. I have turned cherished souvenirs into wearable pieces; from a sentimental coin to a beloved pet's fur!
Always. If you're looking to upgrade your hooks to precious metals, or you want something altered, I will try my best to make it just how you imagined.
I always pack my orders with sustainable materials. My boxes are reusable and will keep your jewellery safe, but they are also recyclable. I wrap everything with paper from second hand books, and I get all my ribbons from the recycling centre. I try to use pre-loved materials wherever I can. I hand make my own sealing wax and all my envelopes are sturdy and reusable!
I always send my packages first class signed for, and I try to get them out to you as soon as possible, but always within three days of your order!
My packages are made up of your boxed, wrapped and wax sealed jewellery, a signed print of my photography work, postcards and a handwritten note with lavender, sunflower seeds and trivial pursuit cards! I put a lot of effort into my packages as I want your entire experience to be multi-sensory. I hope you enjoy them!
If it is in my area of expertise then I can absolutely do that for you. I think its so important for us to get the most use out of the things we already own and adore; I love helping you cherish these pieces for longer!
