I founded Rose & Dragon with the mission to make tea fun and interesting by making the loose-leaf become a full sensory experience of beautiful sights, smells and tastes.
We send out three gorgeous flavours for every month as a luxury tea subscription.
The overall theme is of mindfulness and creating a moment of calm with a cuppa, so each tea comes with a simple mindfulness card and there’s a tea meditation in every box!
I launched after a successful crowdfunding campaign just before lockdown, and I think that now more than ever people could do with a calming pick-me-up since so many people are still working from home or trying to keep safe.
My company is also completely plastic-free so all the packaging is either biodegradable or compostable and the tea packaging is made from a cellulose-based material!
The thing I love about the Cardiff and Welsh business scene is how supportive everyone is. I feel like there’s a sense of community among businesses and a desire for us all to help each other out. As a young entrepreneur just starting out, the support and friendship from other Welsh business owners I’ve met along the way has really been invaluable so I’m really grateful for that!
I’d love to give a shout out to an indie fashion brand called @humanos__ , I met the owner Hannah as we both won an award as young entrepreneurs trying to create a social change. With Humanos she’s trying to shape a more inclusive and welcoming society which I think is awesome.
