Terms & Conditions for all users of our Services (by services, we refer to everything on our website)

  • Listings

Cardiff Indie Collective does not take responsibility for any incorrect information that is displayed within a listing. All listings are the responsibility of the listing owner.

Any products/services found/purchased via Cardiff Indie Collective do not belong to us and are the responsibility of the third party who sold it to you.

  • Loyalty Cards

By purchasing a loyalty card we will not take responsibility for the offers and discounts provided by the third party businesses. They have the right to change and withdraw their offers at any time.

Loyalty cards expire 1 year after purchase.

Names and expiry date on a loyalty must not be changed or altered without permission from Cardiff Indie Collective.

1 loyalty card = 1 user. You must not share the card with other people, or allow them to use your card.

  • Events

We reserve the right to amend or cancel our own events at any time and will adhere to the refund policy given for that specific event.

Any issues related to events which we advertise on behalf of other businesses are not our responsibility.

Refund policies may change from one event to another.

  • Blog

Information and opinions in our blogs may not be our own. We do not take responsibility for factual accuracy within posts.

  • Gift Vouchers

Gift vouchers are valid for 12 months from purchase.

They may be used in more than one participating business (e.g. for a £20 voucher you could redeem £12 in a jewellery shop and £8 in a plant shop)

Participating businesses may have their own rules around gift vouchers (e.g. minimum spend) and can withdraw from the scheme at any time. It is advised to check any of their own terms and conditions with them before purchasing.

We are not responsible for any unauthorised access to, or alteration, theft, or destruction of a gift voucher that results from any action by you or a third party.

  • Special offers/promotions

By participating in a special offer or promotion, you agree that you may not later claim that the rules of that special offer or promotion were ambiguous.

Each promotion may have its own set of terms and conditions

Businesses added must be in and around the Cardiff area. Any deemed to be too far out of the catchment area will be contacted and removed.

You must be a registered sole trader, or have a small, independent business of your own. It does not need to be your only line of work, but you must have a website/etsy page and an official, safe and secure way of receiving money.

Your listing is your own. You must be the owner/manager of the business you have created a listing for – all content in the listing must be your own and must not be copied from anywhere else.

You have responsibility for your listing. It must not violate or infringe on any third party’s rights. You are responsible for updating your listing as necessary (e.g. if your menu/address changes)

The listings should all fit within the given categories. If yours does not fall within these categories but you wish to be featured, please contact us.

Content must not be vulgar, offensive, or affect any third party intellectual rights.

We will not make any claim to owning any of the content on your listing, which includes anything you post using our services (like business names, logos, listing photos, listing descriptions, videos, usernames, etc.).

By subscribing to the Cardiff Indie Collective, you are giving us permission to use your content to allow us to advertise your business on your behalf, and to help the site grow. This may involve using your own images and text. We will not claim ownership to your content. E.g. we may use your images in a social media campaign to help promote your business and the website. For this reason, we may need to crop/edit or modify your images and text.

You are welcome to use our Cardiff Indie Collective logo, business name and content on your own website/social media/marketing etc.

If your content is alleged to infringe another person’s intellectual property, we will take appropriate action, such as disabling it or terminating your account.

Cardiff Indie Collective reserves the right to change, suspend, or discontinue any of the services at any time, for any reason. We will not be liable to you for the effect that any changes to the services may have on you.

By participating in our loyalty card scheme you are responsible for your own special offers and promotions – they will not be dictated by us. You are responsible for checking the name and expiry date on the card.

By participating in our gift voucher scheme you must accept your own responsibilities within the scheme.  If you decide upon your own terms and conditions for customers using vouchers with your company then these must be clearly displayed within your listing. On receipt of a voucher, you must redeem it using the login code given to you. You must then invoice Cardiff Indie Collective with a clear description of the product/service bought, the cost of this, and with a reduction of 10% service fees.
